Hi

Thanks for your contribution. Can you please add the output from lspci -vmmnn and lspci -nnk to the description like in this page. It would be most usefull.

Happy hacking!

I added that info to the notebook page, so I linked to that notebook page from here, rather than copy/paste it. Does that make sense? I can also copy/paste it if you want.
Thanks

Thanks for adding the info I asked. I think it would be better if you could copy/paste the relevant parts here as well. I always do that with all the hardware I add to h-node. The more info we have the better.
Thanks Mark II

Thanks for copying the info. I modified it a bit to only include the data about the wifi adapter itself and left the rest out. I think it is better this way.

No worries. I agree with your modification and the request now makes much more sense to me. I was wondering why you wanted the other notebook stats on this device's page, but you actually did not :) Cheers!
Actually, RTL8188CE works with linux-libre kernel without depends of the firmware

Greetings. I've recently tested in my HP Mini 110-3712la and actually the Realtek RTL8188CE works flawlessly in my Parabola GNU/Linux-libre installation with the linux-libre kernel version 5.9.12. The results of the lspci -vnnnk are the following:
01:00.0 Network controller [0280]: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8188CE 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter [10ec:8176] (rev 01)

Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 16
	I/O ports at 3000 [size=256]
	Memory at 95000000 (64-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=16K]

The results were the same with Trisquel 9.0 "Etiona" with the version 4.15.0-128 and PureOS with the kernel version 4.19.146.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, but it's better than nothing

I have not been able to stop depending on another USB adapter for WiFi, but it is comfortable for me to know that this card works from time to time, although unfortunately not always.
