[p]I removed the internal speaker on my machine, so I can't speak to the performance on that. However, the sound is incredibly low when using headphones. I tested it with two different headphones and experienced the same thing. Technically, the sound card works, but it is all but unusable except in the quietest of environments. (Trisquel 6)[/p]
[b]*[/b] Under Taranis i've tested the OSS driver (oss_hdaudio) and it improves the card performance ([a]http://trisquel.info/es/node/2157[/a]) but it doesn't enable the other two jacks.
[p][i]Note: I suggest to avoid change ALSA for OSS if you're planning to make an upgrade from Taranis to Slaine[/i][/p]

[p]Tested with the newest libre kernel (5.1.6) with ALSA. It has none of the problems mentioned above: the sound is loud, has no artifacts and CPU usage impact is minimal.[/p]
