I tried to test this laptop with Trisquel 5.5 live-cd and my pendrive which also had 5.5 installed. Both times the machine failed to boot normally and I ended up with CLI promt. It seems the display could not be located or that there are some incompatibilities with the videocard.

The live-cd booted succesfully in graphical mode and allowed me to select the language and keyboard layout but failed when booting up Trisquel itself. My pendrive failed right away, of course.

Due to the above, I'm reporting this laptop as garbage. New versions of Trisquel or other free distros might give different results.

I gathered up all the info I needed to report this laptop to h-node and transferred them to another machine.
