Does the E6430 actually have a free boot firmware? I could not find any info supporting this anywhere.
Also, it looks like the Intel wireless card needs the iwlwifi firmware to run: Debian hosts it in the non-free repository. So I suppose wifi will NOT work under a free operating system.

Thanks - if that is the case, the device can no longer be A Platinum, so have recategorised.
