Description:

In order to get wireless connectivity and in order to hear audio from the audio jack on Trisquel 4.0 one needs to install updates (which include a newer kernel) and to enable wireless connectivity in the BIOS. The audio jack and microphone use the same connection, so it is best to get a microphone with a USB connection or to connect a regular microphone to an external sound card. The internel microphone is apparently not recognized.

To get FN keys working I typed this command in the terminal: sudo gedit /etc/default/grub and replaced GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash" by GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash acpi_osi=Linux" and then typed sudo update-grub in the terminal.

To disable the clicking sound when battery is used just type this in the terminal:

sudo hdparm -B 254 /dev/sda

Note also that this netbook can be purchased without Windows preinstalled.
