I have set it from Ethernet to USB. So I could save it. However the printer does not work via USB, only over Ethernet

VendorID is preventing you from saving your printer/scanner to the database over USB, but it works over Ethernet. Steps to troubleshoot and fix the issue: Setting up the network Check your network printer/scanner configuration. Its IP address should be accessible from your PC. Install drivers: Install the right USB and Ethernet drivers. USB and network drivers may differ. Database entry: Adding the printer/scanner to the database requires selecting Ethernet rather than USB if it will be utilized. VendorID Problem: If the VendorID is only recognized via USB, see if the database application allows manual entry for network devices. This may be in the printer/scanner manual or on the manufacturer's website. Connectivity testing: Test the printer/scanner over Ethernet to check it works. Send a print job or scan a document. Check firewall/network settings: Check that your firewall or network settings are not blocking Ethernet communication between your computer and printer/scanner. Get manufacturer support: Contact manufacturer support if the problem persists. They may have model-specific troubleshooting. Head Soccer Database documentation: Check your database system's documentation for restrictions on adding network printers/scanners. I can give more detailed suggestions if you tell me your printer/scanner model and database system!
