[p]Can someone please verify this: I don't think this card works properly with free software. I couldn't get a clear picture with it when I tested HP Pavillion dv9000 laptop with Trisquel 5.5 which was installed on a USB stick. I tried all possible resolutions but the picture was always a bit fussy. The picture was clear enough to submit this device to h-node however, but I can't recommend it for long time use.[/p]

[p]Verified: I use this card in an HP Pavillion dv2700 laptop with Trisquel 5.5 and 6.0; the video is usable, but indeed fussy. Booting screens and virtual terminals are distorted, and it sometimes won't resume from blanking or sleeping. The desktop environment can usually display fine; it sometimes gets stuck in a blank or distorted state, but sometimes that can be fixed by pressing the video mode key and then any key. Leaving status as it_does_not_work unless it's appropriate to change.[/p]
