Description:
(Trisquel 7 was not an alternative in GNU/Linux distribution list when writing this)

Running Trisquel 7 20140807 version with Gnome 3.12 and the sound card works out of the box. I had Sound, located under Settings, open and when I plugged in the card it pop-up automatic. No need to install additional software.

Only headphone jack and line out tested. Mic, line in/phono in, optical in, optical out not tested.

Tested on Trisquel 6 and 7. Headphone output and SPDIF/Digital output tested and working. Some configuration needed to get SPDIF ouput to work (refer to alsa documentation) as IEC958 does not appear in alsamixer/amixer.
