Scanner works out of the box, with software package "sane". The program interface that I have tested it with is "xsane". The scanner scans successfully up to 600dpi resolution. 1200 dpi resolution gives problems leaving red/orange stripes in the picture. I haven't tested the 4 quick buttons on the scanner. Driver support on SANE website is being marked as "basic".
