Description:
That laptop cannot boot with free software until someone replaces the nonfree SMU firmware in Coreboot. The video card also doesn't work with free software as you need a nonfree video BIOS. With the Video BIOS, the radeon driver works in recent linux-libre as I added support for it. If I recall well, it also need the modified /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-radeon.conf that is mentioned in this page to have Xorg working: https://libreplanet.org/wiki?title=Group:Hardware/research/gpu/radeon I've not tested Wayland on it yet.
