Description:
  • Requires to replace wireless adapter
  • In my experience has problems with new kernels: random panics and guaranteed panic while suspending
  • In new kernels nouveau also tends to cause panics (just in my case)
  • Atheros pci-e adapters also cause panics with new kernels (just in my case)
  • On 3.14 sometimes have problems with ath9k starting freaking out until reboot (just in my case)
  • With ath9k_htc (usb) everything seems to be just fine
  • Hotkeys seem to be working, but that varies
  • Power: 19V DC 3.42 A
  • Battery: AL14A32
  • ACPI sends crap; Lots of it; Including wrong charge level; Sometimes laptop just shuts down (possibly cuz of ACPI, but that's just a guess)
Thoroughout experience is rather (infinitesimal) positive despite lots of problems and horrible support from manufacturer (acer support declines to share any docs). NOTA BENE: lspci and lshw outputs were captured after wireless module being replaced. In stock, BCM43142 is installed which only works with proprietary `wl` module.
