Description:
Kernel 3.1 and higher should work, but you might be able to support older versions (untested). 3D acceleration can be enabled but this is not a gaming laptop by any stretch of the imagination. It is fast enough for everything except software compilation and video games. Not yet tested with Libreboot. Great cheap laptop, small, 11 inches. Can be gotten for $200-300 USD. Keyboard is cheap and noisy. May not survive a fall. Bluetooth should work (supported by ath9k module) but good luck configuring it without gnome. Easy to repair, and replace parts, upgradeable SSD (recommend 256 GB). 1 USB 2.0 port, 1 USB 3.0 port, 1 HDMI, 1 audio jack, 1 keylock, 1 SD slot. c720 and c720p are identical but c720p has a WORKING TOUCHSCREEN in linux-libre 4.4.6. which bumps its freedom score up to platinum. Also has a light sensor but you need to recompile the linux-libre kernel with CONFIG_SENSORS_ISL29018 enabled (untested).
