Displaylink & HDMI issues

Getting graphics drivers working effectively can be a struggle on this laptop. I am in a situation where I have to boot with nomodeset which clashes with displaylink and causes blackscreens. The HDMI port also does not appear sometimes if you move away from the Nouveau drivers showing the display as Unclaimed.
I only use Intel GPU, works fine
