Hi, perhaps this notebook could be a C-Silver notebook since it seems that only the wifi card does not work. Does the webcam work?

Hi, looks like the kernel version is wrong. Is that the kernel version you tested with?
  • 2.5.32-24-generic
  • If i'm not wrong Trisquel uses the:
  • 2.6.32-24-generic
  • Cheers!

    Have you re-compiled the kernel in order to make a device work? If it is the case can you specify in the description entry what modules have you loaded?

    hi lembas, can you please add the video card and the wifi card separately (as devices)?

    I'm also wondering if the notebook couldn't have a C-silver compatibility class.. does the webcam work?

    Hello there!

    Sorry for not replying sooner, I only just got an email about there being replies. The kernel version was a simple typ0 indeed. The webcam works. Wifi and 3d don't work, I'll move it to C-class, feel free to change it as you like. I'll input the wifi and video separately. Thank you for this service!

    I know, sometimes it's not easy to find out the webcam model name. I was not able to find mine too..

    I found the webcam PCIID in dmesg, grep for Camera.Then one can find more info about the device with lsusb -v -d PCIID

    Try with hwinfo --usb

    You might need to install it first,
    $ sudo apt-get install hwinfo

    Thanks for the tip! Maybe this could be added to http://www.h-node.org/help/index/en#discover-hardware

    hwinfo is a good tool to be used for usb information, but the lspci/lsusb is the standard used for the project.

    I'll add it to the wiki Help
