Having the ability to test on Trisquel 4 is important, as you can spot regressions this way. For instance some ATI cards worked and don't work anymore in more recent linux-libre, so I spend time adding them back. Other hardware may work in older distributions due to some kernel changes which started requiring firmwares at some point. Enabling to spot that (by analyzing the database) could be crucial in liberating new hardware.
