I left wired ethernet in to see if there would be an automatic update, there was not. The card was seen by the distro. I had to unplug the wired a couple of times but it worked with no setup with a NetGear Wireless N Gigabyte router.
The vendor number is WMP54G I couldn't get the dialogue box to take it, something about a formatting problem.
