Just want to add that exists a software package available that allows to re-pair a receiver with a different mouse, or with more than one device (mouse + keyboard) if the receiver is branded as unify, in contrast to just bundled with a wireless mouse.
Yes there are Unify™ protocol-compatible dongles not marked as such by Logitech.
