Description:
English
This sound card works correctly on Trisquel Slaine (2.6.35-25-generic|HDA Intel)
  • Audio Output - Green - Ok
  • Audio Input - Blue - Ok
  • Microphone - Pink - Ok

Not like Trisquel Taranis (2.6.32-28-generic|HDA Intel/OSS*)
  • Audio Output - Green - Ok
  • Audio Input - Blue - Not active
  • Microphone - Pink - Not active
Acer Aspire One (D250 1530)

The sound card on this netbook presents some details with Slaine, when using it at full volume the sound gets saturated.

IBM Thinkpad X60s

I removed the internal speaker on my machine, so I can't speak to the performance on that. However, the sound is incredibly low when using headphones. I tested it with two different headphones and experienced the same thing. Technically, the sound card works, but it is all but unusable except in the quietest of environments. (Trisquel 6)[p] * Under Taranis i've tested the OSS driver (oss_hdaudio) and it improves the card performance (http://trisquel.info/es/node/2157) but it doesn't enable the other two jacks.[p]

Note: I suggest to avoid change ALSA for OSS if you're planning to make an upgrade from Taranis to Slaine

  • Micrófono - Rosa - No activo
Acer Aspire One (D250 1530)
