Missing hardware on lspci -vmmnn search form
submitted by Ark74, 15:29, 25 June 2011
TOPIC: maybe a bug
STATUS: closed
PRIORITY: low
Description:

I have several devices on my desktop (all already stored at h-node).

When i test the lspci -vmmnn search form, it only show as a result the videocard and soundcard out of it. There are missing the pci wificard and the tv/acquision-card that are also stored at h-node.

So, i'm wondering if the lspci -vmmnn search form is restricted to some devices or if there is a bug that is restricting the search output.

Regards

Thanks Ark74.

About PCI wifi cards: I don't know why they are sometimes marked with a wrong class code so they appear to be ethernet cards (not yet supported at h-node).. can you please write here the part of the output of lspci -vmmnn related to the mentioned wifi card?

About acquisition cards: they are not managed by both the client and the search form.. I have to do it ;)

Indeed your wifi card is catalogued as Ethernet Controller and the class is 0200 (it should be 0280 or 0280). Anyway this problem will be solved once the Ethernet Cards category is inserted oh h-node (I hope to find some free time to insert it as soon as possible since also a user asked to do so in an issue). So you will be able to see your device listed as an Ethernet Card and change the type with the popup menu on the right of the client.
